Digi Ark Tech’s role

Responsibility, clearly stated.

  • Ecommerce operations and solution leadership
  • Requirements and edge-case mapping
  • Architecture and automation-rule design
  • Developer coordination and QA planning

The challenge

Complexity behind the visible experience.

Sold-out products needed to move down without destroying newest-first merchandising. Restocks needed to recover their prior relative position, preorder products had to remain visible, and ingredient-led catalog rules needed careful automation.

Project-specific world

What made this project different.

Liquid can change presentation, but it does not permanently rewrite collection administration. The architecture distinguishes theme display, rank data, Shopify APIs, and the scheduled service responsible for durable changes.

Human review queue

Uncertain product data stays visible instead of triggering risky automation.

The system

A practical structure for the work.

The proposed system separates storefront presentation, Shopify collection data, stable ranking metadata, preorder exceptions, and scheduled automation. Uncertain ingredient classifications remain in a review queue instead of applying risky tags automatically.

01

Make the rules explicit

Converted ‘push sold-out products down’ into testable states for availability, preorder status, collection membership, and restocking.

02

Preserve merchandising intent

Introduced stable rank data so automated availability changes did not erase the existing newest-first logic.

03

Keep humans in the loop

Designed approval paths for incomplete third-party ingredient data and uncertain classifications.

Decision / tradeoff

Do not confuse storefront sorting with collection data

Liquid can change presentation, but it does not permanently rewrite collection administration. The architecture distinguishes theme display, rank data, Shopify APIs, and the scheduled service responsible for durable changes.

What the work established

  • 01A clear implementation blueprint
  • 02Reduced ambiguity for developers
  • 03Scalable exception handling
  • 04Preserved merchandising intent

Outcomes are intentionally qualitative. No unverified commercial or performance metrics are published.
