The challenge
Complexity behind the visible experience.
Ecommerce teams managing large catalogs can lose time checking competitor prices product by product. Pricing gaps are hard to prioritize, unmatched products need careful review, and inconsistent catalog data creates more manual work.
Project-specific world
What made this project different.
The central product decision was to begin with the merchant’s catalog and map competitors around it. This keeps the interface aligned with products the team can act on and makes unmatched items a visible workflow rather than missing data.
Visual story
Catalog-first pricing intelligence for ecommerce teams.

The system
A practical structure for the work.
Digi Ark Tech shaped a product around the merchant’s own catalog: import the products that matter, compare selected competitors, separate higher, lower, parity, and unmatched states, and move uncertain mappings into a human review workflow. The product family extends that model into ingredient checking and Shopify tagging rules.
Frame the repeated task
Turned manual competitor checks into a defined product problem with a consistent set of comparison states.
Design for exceptions
Placed uncertain matches and incomplete data in review queues rather than hiding them behind false confidence.
Connect insight to action
Extended the product family toward ingredient rules, product tags, and collection automation inside Shopify workflows.
Decision / tradeoff
Catalog first, not competitor first
The central product decision was to begin with the merchant’s catalog and map competitors around it. This keeps the interface aligned with products the team can act on and makes unmatched items a visible workflow rather than missing data.
